- Beer name: Hargreaves Hill Hefeweizen
- Brewery: Hargreaves Hill Brewing Co Ltd
- Style: Hefeweizen
- ABV: 4.9%
- First Had: 19 August 2011
- Description: From the brewery website – “Brewed with a traditional weissbier recipe, pale malted wheat and barley, fermented at 16° C, fermented with the iconic Weihenstephan yeast strain. A live beer, this yeast adds complexity and over the life of the beer, can present flavours of banana, clove, nutmeg and vanilla with a refreshing dryness.”
Poured a golden colour with a huge head which soon disipates. Citrusy nose and taste with a slightly bitter finish. This would be a great summer beer!
Food Connections: I enjoyed this beer with some grilled fish but it would go well with any shellfish or pork too.
